Don't Go

The clock strikes one,
And I open my window.
Moonlight seeps through,
Taunting my shadows.

My head spins
As I watch the lights of the city.

Lost on the forgotten path
I hear the sullen symphony softly sing.

Memories fill the days and the nights,
I watch the birds float freely to safety.

Lost in the crowd of loneliness.

Mistakes.
Guilt.
Regrets.
Confusion.

Shivering...

But once the tears start,
They will not stop flowing.

Calling to the heavens,
Shouting out the names.

Don't go...
