Author's Note: It's been over a year since I last updated. I have come up with an idea for a new story but I felt I owed it to the readers of this story to bring it to some sort of conclusion before starting that one. I deleted the last three chapters because I decided to bring this story in a different direction. The love triangle storyline is gone. The character of Kimi will return will a new role.

October 20th

Amy and I may have had an argument but we did not break up. Now that I think of it, I was being too whiny. I need to be stronger if I'm going to be out. Being gay isn't easy, that's no secret.

But the weirdest thing happened today. My father is a teacher at my school, so I ride to school with him. Faculty have to be at school much earlier than students so I'm always there before long before any of my classmates arrive. I usually listen to my mp3 player until it's time to get ready for class. While sitting on the bench in the hallway, I felt a tap on my shoulder. It was Maria. "I have to talk to you, that's why I came here so early."

"You want to get some insults in before your friends have a chance to."

"No, they're not my friends anymore. They abandoned me. I have syphilis. I told Michelle hoping she would keep it quiet but she told everyone. They won't be near me now. They're ignorant because they don't realize they can't catch it without engaging in sexual contact."

"Just like you can't gay from me?" I interrupted. "You seemed to have believed that. You're no better than they are."

"I was wrong to do that to you. Can't you forgive me?"

"This is not the first time something like this is happened. You wronged me several times before, apologize then you just do the same thing after I forgive you. Your 'ex-friends' and the guys you've dated also do it. I learned not to forgive you people because you never learn. Did you really think I would be some shoulder to cry on because your friends abandoned you? I'm not a doormat, I stand up for myself. You could really use some time as the school outcast to learn what you've done to me." I walked away.

"KALI!!" Maria called at me. I didn't respond.
