He Loves Me Not

By

My own version of the poem I Won't Repeat Last Time, by Savannah Hunt

My soul cries for your affection

As you sit and watch from afar

Pretending you don't notice

My hearts eternal scar

This overwhelming pain, starts to blend with lengthy days

Wounding my scathed heart in every possible way

I don't know how you do it, it makes no sense at all

Just to hurt me, with the things you say

You play an act of kindness

But no matter, I see through

I can tell you purposefully shun me

Despite your mask, I know you

And I could take it, to an extend

But push has come to shove

You drove me to this unbearable sin

When I confessed to you my love

And I could take it, to an extend

But push has come to shove

You drove me to this unbearable sin

When I confessed to you my love

Then a moment of sin turned to a terrible week

And you hung your head in shame

When I had cried, you turned your cheek

And you won at your own game

It was only when I returned to you

Did my heart shatter once more

In a split moment, you looked my way

And shook me to my core

Because I could take it, to an extent

This time you pushed me past the edge

You drove me to an unbearable sin

That to life, I will not pledge
