Marshmallows, are as defined by Merriam Webster Dictionary online, a sweet white confection usually in the form of a spread or small spongy cylindrical pieces now usually made from corn syrup, sugar, albumen, and gelatin but formerly from the marshmallow's root.

However....I believe there are more to these sugary white confections than what meets the eye. They can make people smile and laugh and burn their tongue.... and get people addicted to smores...Heck! They ARE the smore. What would a smore be without the marshmallow? A piece of hard freaking chocolate and a gram cracker. Not my idea of a good time. Which leads me to believe there must be much more to this sugary confection that what the dictionary wants to define it as.

People on the other hand, are defined as.... a body of persons that are united by a common culture, tradition, or sense of kinship, that typically have common language, institutions, and beliefs, and that often constitute a politically organized group... Or Persons (as a human being, a partnership, or a corporation) that is recognized by law as the subject of rights and duties. But surely there must be more to human beings than what meets the eye.

So why judge people on what they look like? Sure a marshmallow is just a white, sugary confection, but isn't it also so much more? Isn't it something that can bring about memories, or laughs or smiles?

What I also find amusing is that despite being a dictionary it cant define the word, person, or persons; and almost the same such case with people...

Why might that be? Because people, are not defined by outer looks, or purposes. They are defined by their hopes. By their dreams, aspirations, goals, love. They are individuals, and to try to define people as a whole, or stereo type just atrociously incorrect.
