Homecoming
Bum
Bum
Bam
The front door sticks
Click-click-click
Heels across the room
Creak
Creak
Thump-thump-thump
The first 2 steps still creek
Thump- thump- thump- thump-
My steps slow as I approach the door
I can't believe I'm back
Swish
The door opens
The room's pink and pristine
Jus as I remember
Ca-chunk
I open the window
And sit on the ledge
Looking out over the moor
Creak
I turn to face the man at the door
Clack-clack-clack
He moves to my side
Rustle
He sits and looks into my eyes
Sigh
I turn
Looking back out he window
"Maybe"
I jump
He's whispering now
"Maybe it's not time"
Thump
I stand
And face the door
"Maybe your right"
Rustle
He stands as well
Thump-thump-thump-thump
Creak
Creak
Click-clack-click-clack
Clump
Go out to the car
And take one last look
And my childhood home
I get in
And sit in my seat
Nodding to my friend
We drive down the old fulmar road
Head to my new home
