Words and whispers

And promises

Of rightness-

This is what you

Sent crawling

Into my new mind

Vandalising its

Fresh, empty pages

With sinful scrawls.

There was no love

In the letters

You embedded in me

Only hatred

To darken my soul.

When I am older,

You lie back

In satisfaction

And gaze upon your masterpiece-

A person tainted

In mind and soul.

How could you do it?

How dare you do it?

Why do you do it?

I was innocent once.

I was born with love in me

And I did not know what hatred was.

But now it is all I know.
