Chapter 2
On the day that Jimmy and my mom came back from their honeymoon we moved that instant.
In the plane we sat in first class which I really didn't care much about. There was only big fat business man who laughed at lame jokes. I sat by a window no one sat next to me. Jimmy and my mother sat behind. This made me glad because I didn't have to see them making out. I sat there staring out the window looking at the clouds and listening to my ipod and eventually fell asleep…
At that moment I had a dream. It was the same dream I've been having for the past 3 days. At times I get the same dreams, but every time I have them they show me new parts of that dream. I would have dreams about the day he saved my life which was the day I met him, our first kiss, the first date. Well you get the idea. The dream I was having at that moment was very different then the other dreams…
He grabs my arm...
"Don't go" he said
Tears were running down my face. I looked at him, but didn't see his face...
"Why not, it's not like you need me" I yelled
"Kelley please let me explain" he said.
I looked at the girl a smile was on her face the sheets slowly falling from her body. I look at him standing there with a pillow covering him…
"There's no way you can explain this to me" I said and ran away… his voice yelling at me to go back, but I didn't... I woke up…
"Kelley we're here" Jimmy said with a grin on his face, my mom was right by his side holding on to his arm; great my new life is just beginning...
On the Drive to Our new house my mother was talking about how I was going to love it here and how she wants to be more involve in my life and all of this junk... I just nodded and looked out the window. Sometimes I found being in a car with my mother and Jimmy very nasty. Newlyweds really are gross. There so gushy and in love that it makes me sick…
"Look Kelley, see that window up there, that's your room" Jimmy said when we got there. I looked at the huge house. No wonder my mother loved him. He was loaded…
I looked at the window he was talking about. It had a big balcony, very cool I guess.
Once we went inside I felt weird. Like it wasn't my house. Like it's too good to be my house. Everything was already set up like if we took over someone else's house. Jimmy showed me around. As if he has been here before. I bet he looked at it threw the computer. Anyways he showed me the kitchen, the living, the dinning room, the game room, his office, and the backyard which had a huge pool. It was amazing. Then finally he showed me my room
He led me up the stair. Second door to the right side, I looked at the door and opened it. The room was pink. Yeah pink, why pink, that was the first thing that pops inside my head. I looked around. There was this queen size bed which had curtains around short of looks like a queen's bed or a princess. The furniture was white. The sheets and covers where a solid pink. It looked just like a little girls dream come true. It was a princess room. I would have loved it if I was five, but I'm seventeen I need a more modern room. High fashion black and white that kind of stuff, not that I'm in to any of that stuff, but that's better then this ….
"Do you like it" he asked
"Yeah sure, if I was a little princess"
"Your mom told me you like fairy tales and stuff like that"
"Yeah when I was five" I said turning to look at them
"Kelley deal with it they worked hard on this room" my mother said
"Then why don't you sleep in here" I whispered
"What" she said
"Nothing, I'm going to start unpacking"
"Good" she said and grabbed Jimmy by the arm
I stood there alone, in a little girls dream come true. This was sad my own mother didn't even know me enough to know that I was so over the whole fairy tale life…
School was going to start in a week. Doesn't it suck how I just got out of school, but over here there going back in. I was going to start my senior year early. Yes this school year is totally going to rock… not...
Later that day my mother had this brilliant idea to go shopping for school clothes. I agreed, should have known better. My mother took me to Hollister, American eagle, h& m, and other preppy stores. I tried so hard to go inside hot topic or any other random store, but she wouldn't let me…
"Kelley you can't go in there, you need to be different this year. You need to be popular. When I was your age I had the whole school wrapped around my finger. You need that in your life. You need to feel in control and you can't do that by only wearing black tank tops and a pair of jeans. You need to be more high fashion more in style. You need to be a new person, what better place to do that then here in Beverly Hills." My mother said once I tried going in hot topic.
"But I don't want
to be a new person .I like who I am" I said
"Don't be silly
of course you want to change" and then she dragged me to this other
rich store.
This year was going to be way different. I had no say in what I wanted to wear. My mother had picked ever single thing, even my underwear…
"No more white cotton for you" she said while picking up this black lacy thong...
I'm not saying it's such a bad thing that she picked out my clothes, but I would like a say in what I want to wear. She has good taste, but I wasn't a model, I was a normal teenage girl…
What could I expect from my mother... she was Faith Kane, The Fashion God. That's right my mom knew everything there is about fashion. She tried so hard to get me into it but I couldn't. It wasn't my style. It wasn't what I liked. When I was little she use to pick out all this stuff for me, but as I got older I just stopped putting on what she bought me. I would trade my new clothes with my old best friend Helen. Helen became the most popular girl thanks to me, but did I ever get thanks nope. Not once. She became popular and started ditching me. After that we stopped being friends. I stopped trading with her and she started to pick on me. That's when I started to call her Hellen since she was a big pain in my butt…
After shopping with my mom, we took a stroll to the park. I started walking ahead, my mother a few steps behind me. We had left the bags in the car in search for a good place to eat. I looked around. Strange this place looked familiar. I looked at the little kids ridding their bikes, old men playing chess, and a woman with a baby. My head started to spin, I got dizzy. This wasn't happening; my dream can't be coming true. And then there it was, "Watch out" and I fell to the ground...
I slowly opened my eyes and then I saw the bright light. Am I dreaming, or is this actually happening…
"Are you okay" he said
"No" I yelled and got up
"Are you hurt?" he asked
"No" I said looking at the billboard on the ground, crushed
"I'm Ethan Greene" he said, I turned around to face him...
He looked to be about my age. A strand of dark black hair fell on his face. He pushed it away with his slim fingers. Once he moved it I could see his dark green eyes staring into my Blue eyes. He held out his hand. I looked at it for a while...
"And you are?" he asked I looked away from his hands and looked back at him
"Sorry, I'm Kelley Kane" I said shaking his hand
"Well it's nice to meet you Kelley"
"Nice to meet you too" I said letting go of his hand, he smiled at me and was about to say something when...
"Oh My God, Kelley are you okay" I turned to see my mother running up to me. I turned back around to face Ethan, I sighed, and he smiled
"I'll see you around, Kelley" he said and walked away
"Oh my God, darling are you alright"
"Yes I'm fine mom" I said while staring at the way his black shirt hugged his body.
"Who's that" my mother asked
"No one" I said and started walking the opposite way…
That night we ate at the diner talk. Jimmy has this whole idea about how the perfect family should look like. If I had it my way, I would be eating in my room, but I'm not. I sat there waiting for them to stop talking so I could get up and fall asleep. I wasn't alone to leave the dinning room until everyone was done eating and if you are allowed to. I asked Jimmy if I could, but he shook his head. I sat there listening to then talk about none sense until finally Jimmy said it was alright to leave.
I ran upstairs and closed the door. It felt nothing like home. This room wasn't meant for me. It was meant for the Five year old girl next door. Even though there is no five year old girl next door...
School was going to start in Seven days and I had no idea what is going to happen. Will they like me? Will I make new friends? The biggest question is... will I see Ethan there…
