They Could Be There or Why Hasn't God left Us Alone?

I've been asked the question

Do you believe in aliens from outer space?

In answer to that I've always said, "Yes."

I can give them the benefit of the doubt.

I've been asked the question

Do you believe in God?

In answer to that I've always said, "No."

I can't give Him the benefit of the doubt.

You may ask me why I could believe in aliens from outer space

When I won't believe in a God?

In answer to that I can only say this:

"Supposedly God has shown Himself to us over our long and bloody history.

Being what we are, we fight over any little thing imaginable.

We follow His example of righteous retribution.

God wasn't smart enough to stay out of our affairs.

Just look at what's going on in the world now.

The aliens, having never shown themselves to anyone but crackpots, Wouldn't dare show their faces within one-hundred light years of this place.

We would only take from them, never learning; twisting their reason to fit our agendas, and in the end kill them to the very last.

Just as we did with all the Gods."
