Up rose the phoenix from ashes and fire,
It sang a song, as sweet as a lyre.
It flew down from Heaven and landed on Earth,
A merciful god of fire and re-birth.
It soared in the azure, Feathers a-flame,
When evil was rampant, so quickly it came.
It sang songs aloud, soared in the sky,
It had blazes for feathers, rubies for eyes.
Up in the blue, the phoenix flies,
With a wonderful melody, The Lord of the Skies.
