Encased in this glassy tomb
Morbid reflections gracing all sides
There's not a soul in here but you
You have no choice but to look yourself in the eye
And in a single painful sweep
Your sins rush forward like the tides
Uncovering what was hidden deep
The conscience buried there inside
It's all too much to take
Stunning you for quite a while
You hadn't counted on your mistakes
Crashing back to shatter your denial
Having to face the reflections
You see the twisted monster that you are
And the consequences for your actions
Yes, it's already gone too far
It's time to draw the blade
As you still see through to every sin
The punishment must be made
Before you repeat your crimes again
You swiftly slice to your replicas
To banish the malevolence they hold
Though you know your mimickers
Share your very soul
And so you tear yourself apart
Taking vengeance with your own hands
For since you find the evil in your heart
You must eliminate its command
You know all that you've done
And you know that you can't hide
If punishing yourself means that you've won
There's no way that you'll survive
Your scars begin to number in the thousands
Causing new pain to remedy the old
But the one lesson worth counting
The moral as you skin grows cold
Is that those who live in glass houses
Should never throw stones
Perhaps since the eyes surrounding
Will always truly be your own

Notes: 'twas written about Thanatos, most likely in the point of view of Kakero if anyone, for the few that know who they are. You know, despite everything he's done, you really can't help but feel bad for Thanatos sometimes... Anyway, there are some parts of this poem that bug me, but I was reading over it last night and decided that I wanted it up here. So, here it is.
