Tin Foil Armour

She wraps herself in armour

A cold shield made of tin

She hopes nobody knows it

But the armour's far too thin

Protected by a fa├žade

Of tin that looks like steel

She prays nobody tests it

'Cause she doesn't want to feel

Doesn't want to feel the pain

Of someone breaking through

The pain of someone finding out

Her armour isn't true

She hides herself in armour

And hopes no one can see

That behind her silver shield

She's a girl who's just like me

Behind her foil guard she's weak

She doesn't know the way

Her armour rusts from inside out

From tears shed every day
