Night of Fright
Out the window, the wind howls.
I knew right then, there was something afoul.
Rain fell from above and lightning cut through,
The flash of his eyes revealed it was blue.
Screaming and panicking as I ran from the man.
I stopped to catch my breath and stared at my shaking hand.
Covered in blood so very red,
I screamed and ran far ahead.
Sounds of footsteps coming from behind.
Preparing to hit, I slowly counted to nine.
Tripped down and turned to see,
He was staring straight at me!
Thunder roared right outside the door.
Icy blue and silver, I couldn't remember any more.
A/N- Ah...I felt it was a bit...weird. I had been testing my try on a horror/suspense poem. Please send feedback!
