I want nothing more than to fall asleep
with your arms wrapping me up,
pressing me into your body.
Your smell seeps into my skin
and I swear I will never
wash it off.

But the morning always comes
with the antarctic water
washing away moments
and I am left with
knowing you
can't save me,
no one can.

My only savior is on top of a mountain,
the sun rise surrounding me
with unfathomable

But the edge sneaks up on me,
creeping closer and closer.
I cling to you in desperation
and for a moment you catch me,
but your love isn't strong enough
and I fall into a never-ending
hole of nothingness.

Left all alone
to wonder if
the climb
is worth
the fall.
