My piano man

Is playing a sad song

In black and white

Fingers caressing

Ivory key

Unlocking beauty

And serenity

Chords grace

From hands

Rather than the

Gaudy lips

His shoe is softly

Tapping pedal

Eyes are closed

Yet still conscious

Of notes overlapping

Drawing my heart

To the heavenly bench

Touching the velvet

Of black and white

Getting lost

In the musical

Symphonic

Fingertips stretch

Brush surrealism

And then

The mind wakes

It was but a dream
