and the pretty-girl who got it with her
pretty-girl dreams and pretty-girl lips and eyes and---
she splits this apple in two
all for you
you the ugly-girl that bruises easily and bites her lips
so hard they bleed because like that, you fall in love
(over coffee) and she did this one day over coffee
and half-attempted I Love Yous and pressed the
cut-up pieces to your lips and told you to eat it
