Prologue – Ian's point of view

I turned and walked out of her room and out of her life. I knew that nothing would be the same after today. Things will be different from now on.

What she doesn't know is that I would be moving next week, to Santa Monica. There are better college opportunities for me. I looked at the house one last time, knowing I wouldn't see it ever again.

"Goodbye Jasmine." I whispered and sped away.

---1 year later---

"Hurry up Ian! I'm starving!" the lady on the other side of the door whined.

"I'm coming, just hold on you pig." I chuckled as I came out of the bathroom.

The lady just sat there with her arms crossed to her chest and pouted at me. I smiled at her and cupped her face with both of my hands.

"I was just kidding babe." I said as I kissed her.

She couldn't be mad at me for a long time. What can I say? I'm just too irresistible. She smiled against my lips and then pulled away.

"Come on lets go!" She said.

We walked out of the apartment holding hands. Now you're probably thinking, who the heck is that chick? Well that chick is my new girlfriend! Not quite new, we've been together for awhile, the past five months to be exact. And what a five months it has been. wink wink Her name is Christen. She's the same age as me, we're both 21. She is about 5'7, nice long legs, short black hair, its dead straight but striking; she has dark mysterious green eyes, and a stunning curvaceous body. She's gorgeous! I wouldn't change anything, not that I would if I could. Not only is she good-looking on the outside but also in the inside. She has a good heart and a beautiful soul. I met her through mutual friends, a little after my arrival at Santa Monica. It was love at first sight. I'm happy as any one could be.

"So where do you want to go?" I asked when we were driving on the road.

"I don't know, but I'm craving for some pizza!" She said rubbing a hand on her stomach.

"CPK?" I looked at her.

"That will do." She smiled.

I smiled back at her before turning back to the road.

It took about ten minutes to get there. We walked in holding hands. We were looking at each other because we were talking about some random stuff, so we really weren't looking at where we were going. That's when we bumped into some guy.

"Oh shit!" The guy said as he almost fell over. The voice sounded a little familiar. I looked at the guy, it was Paul!

"Oh shit! Paul?" I asked in shock.

He looked at me as his eyes widen. "What the freak? Ian?"

We both looked at each other for a second then jumped into a big bear hug.

"I can't believe it's you dog!" Paul said as we parted.

"Shit man! How the fuck are you?" I asked happily.

"I've been good, but a little bored since you left." He laughed.

I laughed too. "How have you been bra?" he asked me.

"Not too bad, not too bad. It's cool over here." I smiled.

"That's good." He said as he looked at the girl to my right. "So who's this pretty lady?" He asked smiling.

"Oh yeah! This is my girlfriend Christen!" I chuckled. "Christen this is my best friend Paul from the valley."

"Nice to meet you!" Christen said as she shook his hand. "I've heard a lot about you."

"Don't believe them! They're all lies!" Paul joked. "I would have heard about you, but lover boy here doesn't call me anymore." He continued to laugh.

"Man shut up! You don't call me! I wait every hour of the night for your call." I started to laugh.

"You guys sound like an old married couple." Christen joked.

"We practically are!" Paul said. "Aww I miss this dude." He said as he gave me one of those guy hugs.

"Yeah dude, it's been too long. How long has it been? A year?"

"Yep!" He said as he looked to the side, a girl called his name.

"Paul, what the heck is taking you too long?" the figure asked walking up to us.

And there she was. The person I was wondering about the whole time during this conversation. The person that I secretly wished would be brought up so I can ask how she was doing but now she was in front of me, oblivious to my presence. Her head was facing only Paul as she kept talking.

"The waiter is waiting for----us." she said as her words decreased into a whisper as she looked at me. She looked stunned. She's more beautiful than I had remembered. She looked skinnier; her girlish body developed to woman's, more curves. Her hair shorter than I remember, layered nicely. Other than that, she looks the same. She stares at me with surprise in her eyes, unable to move.

I smiled at her. "Hi Jasmine."
