End of Earth
by: trista groulx

It's the end of the world, and we're all invited
Everything will die soon and we'll all know why
Our earth has been killed, and we all know where the blame lies
It's the beginning of the end, and we don't even see the truth
No one sees how we rape the only Earth we have
No one will admit that we treat nature as our whore
Calling her every name in the book, hating her
Because of the misdeed we've brought unto to her
She was always unable to cry out, as our hands gagged
While she is the one who has always suffered
It's the end of the world, and we're all invited
Everything will die soon, and we'll all know why
We have killed our mother, and there is no saviour
We've used her as our own personal whore
Forgetting she is our creator, our protector
Now we cannot undo the harm we've caused
We can try now to slow her excruciating death
But we know our efforts are all in vain
For her life is now at it's grand finale
All because of how we've sinned, against our mother
Perhaps she won't fail today nor tomorrow
But we can no longer deny that her end is near
Her life support will only last so long
It's the end of the world, and we're all invited
Everything will die soon, and we'll know why
So it's the end of the world, and we are the witnesses
We must watch the tragedy reaped upon our mother
Brought on our selfish selves as we still sin against her
