Smoke rose into the night sky. Blood was spilled on the streets; bodies littered the small seaside town of Androuge. It was a night of hell.
The empire to the north of the Aurora Republic, the Zodiac empire, it wasn't content on winning the war. It was bent on genocide. All hope is lost for the doomed republic.
Whenever Zodiac Intelligence has leads on any of the Aurora's magical bloodlines, raids would always be close. The hunt for one or two heads leads to the death of towns.

"Hurry up Hannah, we have to go!" said a girl's desperate voice.
"Wait just a second!" Hannah said. She was 17 years old, has long blonde hair with yellow-green eyes. She tried to get as many things as possible; knowing that their next stop might be days away.
She felt that checking everything that they need outweighs the chaos of her surroundings.
"We don't have anymore time! We need to leave right now!" The voice of was Riza's, Hannah's friend.
Riza Kaes has the same age as Hannah does. She had long ebony black, and bright green eyes.
"Hey, check down here!" a masculine voice said. The two girls froze.
From the stairs produced a uniformed Zodiac rifleman. He poised to shoot but Riza was faster. She cast a Blast spell, knocking the soldier unconscious.
"Do I still have to say 'I told you so'?" Riza said.

The two made their way to the pier, trying their best to avoid the hostile soldiers.
"Ready?" said a third girl. She was wearing a grey long sleeved robe and a black unbuttoned vest. She had a long wooden rod with the strap across her body.
"You sure that dingy can bring us to the Jade Kingdom, huh, Mifurey?" Hannah said, skeptical of the wooden ship Mifurey was standing on. It wasn't even propelled by an engine, it had a canvas sail.
"Yes!" Mifurey said triumphantly. To the contrary, the fisherman who sold the boat lied to Mifurey. The boat was old, and a lot of leaks.
"I doubt." Riza said, giving a worried smile.
"Lets go!" Mifurey shouted from the top of her lungs.
"Shhhh!" Both Riza and Hannah beckoned.
Unfortunately, a soldier heard them.
The three boarded the ship and set sail, but just before they were out of the woods, a squad of soldiers saw them and opened fired,
"Screw you!!!" Mifurey shouted, waving a clenched fist. The two pulled her down.
"Bring in the cannon!" The squad leader ordered.
"We're gonna die, we're gonna die, we're gonna die…" Hannah said in panic.
"Get some sense in you!" Riza said.
Hannah, seeing no sense in panicking, stood up.
"What are you doing? You'll get shot!!" Riza exclaimed.
She ignored her. She raised her staff above her head, twirled it three times and swung it.
"Protect?" Riza questioned.
A barrier was instantly raised around them just before the cannon was fire. The shell didn't penetrate.
Hannah slumped. The spell cast weakened her.
"Yehey!!" Mifurey shouted seeing the Zodiac soldiers firing away in vain.
"Good job, Hannah!" Riza patted her on the back.
"Thanks."
"Uhm, I don't suppose this should be here?" Mifurey pointed to the hole in the side of the ship.
