Prologue

When the universe was young, so many ages ago, a war in the heavens erupted. God's most cherished, most adored, favorite angel had gone too far. He, who was named Lucifer, had begun to develop too great of a lust for his father's domain and for his very power. Along with the legion of angels God had given to him, he began the rebellion. Those loyal to the Lord and those to Lucifer fought with one another for thousands of years. The stars raged with impossible heat but brought forth no light has they trembled under the awesome quakes that rippled throughout the young universe from the war above. The young planets that contained God's potential new forms of life were ripped, charred, and burned until the planets were thrown from their gravitational pull, the very force that held them to their positions.

At last, after so many angels were lost forever, the souls of those with God returning into the fabric of Heaven and the souls of those with Lucifer being thrown into oblivion, Lucifer clashed with God himself. The two mighty swords clashed with such force that the entire universe was torn from reality shattered into a pure form of nothing. Reality no longer existed, the little life that had only begun to blossom was gone forever. Again, their swords collided with one another, and at that point the ethereal heavens shook slightly, slowly losing its hold on existence as the tremendous powers continued to fight. Angels on both sides were suddenly thrown across the lands of heaven, and their souls now suddenly pulled into the vortex that would form after every incredible clash of Lucifer and God.

After three hundred years of this, the two leaders of the two polar opposite powers of the universe that remained, after the heavens were on the verge of collapsing upon themselves, and the angels were nearly extinct because of their own masters, Lucifer was thrown from heaven. Lucifer's sword fell to the grounds of heaven, forming another trembling quake through the halls of heaven. As Lucifer fell into nothing but darkness of no being, no reality, God knew that it would be only time that he would eventually awaken during this fall and would simply return to fight. God knew he would have to imprison him for eternity so he could not escape and cause the destruction he did again. As Lucifer continued to sleep from his defeat, God painstakingly created the universe once again, and every star, every planet he had to create, hurt him more and fueled his anger further.

Finally, reality had been returned to its prior state with few changes and then created a body of rock and water to finally cease Lucifer's fall. Shaytak, the first of three ethereal gateways to be created, was his destination, his entry point to hell. After the first reality and universe had been destroyed, it had left an essence of pure chaos that was fueled by the suffering of countless souls from the clash between God and Lucifer. Though God had recovered his faithful angels that served him, he left Lucifer's legion there to suffer in agony as punishment and then sent the survivors to join their new master in his domain. Lucifer ended his millennia long fall on the rock of Shaytak where the portal to the "warp", or officially, Hell, was opened and then closed for what the Lord thought to be forever. Then, God fused his sword with Lucifer's, locking it deep in the chasms of Hylandor, the second ethereal gateway where the entry to Heaven was. Last of all, God placed the secrets of power, the teachings of the angel warrior virtues, the power to become the Guardian of God's gates on Earth.

However, Lucifer, when he at last awoke, would not settle with this for long. He had gained a domain of his own as he had wished, only now with his soul in constant, burning agony-a pain so unbearable any angel would simply blink out of existence, but the chains of the warp would not allow such a move. He wished for revenge, so he began his army of demons that he would soon lead to the surface of the barren Shaytak and invade the reality of the universe and then return to God's own domain once again.

"I shall wield the power of all being, of reality, and of existence. I shall show Yahweh the error in his rule and the evil in his teachings. And we shall see who has truly won this war." Lucifer's voice echoed through the demonic halls of Hell with a deep tone of rage.

From that point the warp, an actual living entity, had realized that the once beloved angel that had become corrupted had finally completed his turn to a new power. A new dark wickedness that would soon receive the title of Evil had overtaken the mind and the very soul of Lucifer with an awesome rage and a desire for vengeance. The whispers of the warp ceased their never-ending indecipherable chatter that would drive the souls themselves insane and called out to the entire world of Hell, for the first time, in unison.

"Satan…" The whispers dubbed him. Lucifer smiled at this new name, and after a brief moment, nodded slightly in satisfaction.

"Satan…" The whispers said again, louder.

"Satan?" Lucifer commented, "Hmm. Satan." He smiled again in satisfaction, "Then I, Satan, shall rule this domain and soon conquer all who have supported those heathens that celebrate their 'victory' high above the universe, I swear it." A dark gauntleted fist came crashing down on the arm of the high throne, sending a quake throughout the warp, enveloped in flames on which the king of hell sat.
