I sat slumped amongst tears of hate
trying to accept the meaning of my fate.
Death's my only friend it seems,
it's just me, death, and my many, many dreams.
I sit up and then rise, finally sick of all the dark,
I've finally realized, the bite isn't as bad as the bark.
I'm going to leave the solitude that part of me.
This time it's myself I'm going to be.
I shake my head, and stand up tall.
I swallow my hate, swallow it all.
No longer alone I'm don't know what to do,
but you take my hand, I'm taken by you.
Leaving my solitude,
it's hard to do.
But I've stood up tall
and I'm going to face it all.
