I must now solve this problem right away.
Do you see the cage bars encircling me?
It's urgent; it can't wait another day.
I pine and long—and rightly—to be free.
My prison walls on me are closing in.
I fear I'll suffocate if I wait long.
Although the bars are gold and food's thrown in,
I don't want to be contained and sing forced song.
I can be loyal of my own freewill,
So does the issue lie with you or me?
Of my own choice I'll sing upon your sill.
I see no crime in wanting to be free.
I think I've found the root of the issue:
I must not think of me, but God and you.
