Heartstrings
Your comfort bid me welcome
And I made my home in you.
My soul slept in new surroundings
And bid the world adieu.
Your spirit stretched its sinewy muscles,
Reached out and entwined with mine.
It grew into the heart of my very existence
And spread through my soul like a vine.
Your veins flowered out and attached themselves
To the channels that flow under my skin.
My blood runs thick with you and yours
And I don't' know where you end and I begin.
My definition
Is unknown.
I am no longer
My own.
My nerves were laid bare
To connect to your core.
All I know, is that I am yours
Whether wife or whore.
You run rampant through me
Like an infectious disease.
All heartstrings lead to you.
Scalpel, please.
