Tattoos and Dolls
Chapter Three:
a/n: a little bit of bad language here ppl. Only one word tho, don't say I dint wan you lol.
She's Ollie's little sister, She's Ollie's little sister, She's Ollie's little sister… Lucas kept thinking as he lay in his bed that night. He couldn't sleep and he hated it, he had never been so worked up over a girl before, but really Brody wasn't a girl, she was the girl who was Ollie's little sister. She was the kid who drove him insane because she wouldn't let her brother play street hockey unless she was playing too, and she always had to be on his team no matter what. And now all of a sudden she had turned eighteen and she was driving him crazy over a simple kiss that might have lasted a little to long. He had kissed lots of girls, they seemed to be everywhere, to him. And he had never once thought twice about his actions, but now he was thinking more than twice, in fact now, he was thinking well into the wee hours of the morning.
Had she realised the gravity of her actions? He wondered reaching across to his bedside table and lighting a cigarette. He sat it the darkness smoking, with an ash tray at his side. What gravity? His brain retorted, nothing had happened, they had kissed, it was her birthday, it was a simple kiss, a birthday kiss. He shook his head wishing that it could be like a etchesketch and everything could be erased. Because he knew that thinking about his best friend's little sister was completely wrong, and even more unhealthy. Because there was nothing worse than wanting something you cant have.
Wait, he dint want her, he tried telling himself. He wasn't sexually attracted to her, was he? Not that that mattered right? Because he wasn't emotionally attracted to her either. Hell they had never actually had a proper conversation about life in general, they only talked, if they ever talked about Ollie, and the tattoo parlour that he ran with Ollie, where she worked sometimes. He didn't really know her know her, he just knew her. He knew everything about her but he didn't know the important parts, he didn't know what her favourite colour was… he didn't even know…
"Fuck." He breathed snubbing out the cigarette, he was beginning to realize that maybe he was developping feelings for Brody. And he knew that he had to wipe them out one way or another before they grew into a full blown monster.
"You had fun Morgan?" Ollie asked as he cooked pancakes and the two girls stood watching him. Morgan nodded still dressed in her pink pyjamas, while Brody was dressed in a pair of boxers and an over sized hoodie.
"Oh yeah, it was one of the best parties ever!" she told him genuinely nudging Brody who couldn't help but grin at the memory of kissing Lucas for the first time.
"You're going to have to work on that Cadillac Brody, its not street ready yet." Oliver told her, she nodded and sipped the coffee, she knew that it wasn't street ready because she had wanted it that way, she had wanted a car that she could build from the ground up, and could customize completely. It was too bad neither she nor Ollie had any mechanic skills.
"So I've enlisted the help of Lucas, he's amazing with cars." Of course he had to be, his father had been a mechanic and he even ran his own garage, which Lucas' brother Travis now ran back in L.A. Morgan smiled and so did Brody at the thought of having to work closely with him for hours on end. It would be fun and Ollie wouldn't be around so she would be able to do what ever she wanted with him, if he was willing, of course.
"Cool." Brody stated grabbing a piece of toast from the toaster as it popped up, she instantly stuck it in her mouth.
"Ew leave some for the rest of us." Morgan whined. Brody shrugged and walked into the living room with her plate.
"Okay ladies, I've got to scuttle, finish the pancakes and was the dishes, I should be home by five."He instructed lightly kissing his sister on the forehead. She grunted because he was standing in the way of the television.
"Nice one sis," he commented. "Morgan I'll be seeing you around." He told her she nodded. And a moment later the door opened and closed. He was gone.
Morgan instantly turned to Brody and put down her plate.
"Tell me everything."
"Jesus you look like you got no sleep Luke." Ollie commented as he got to the shop. Lucas was sitting in one of the chairs that the customers usually sat in. His eyes were unusually red an puffy, and he looked thoroughly exhausted.
"Yeah," he said calmly not able to muster up a quick retort. She was completely consuming his mind, so much so that sitting alone in bed hadn't been enough to put him back to sleep. He had actually, after sitting up for about an hour, gotten up and gone for a quick run, which had ended up being a lot longer than he had expected. And when he returned home, still she consumed his thoughts even though he kept on rethinking the same damned thing. Maybe he was OCD or something.
"And you left early last night too, you missed all the fun, Benny got drunk and tried to kiss Elle but she kicked him in the nuts, he was rolling around on the floor." Ollie laughed again not noticing his friend who now had his elbow on the chair handle, resting his head in his hand.
"Aw man, I cant believe she's eighteen already, youknow? It feels like it was just yesterday that she was this little kid following us around eh? And now look at her, older, taller, wearing short skirts and all." He shook his head. "I'm gonna have to be holding the guys back soon." He commented happily laughing.
"Yeah. Were getting old too." He stated, trying not to think of all the guys Ollie would have to hold back, and trying not to think that he would be one of those.
"Exactly man I mean five more years, I'll be twenty eight and you'll be twenty seven. And we'll probably have kids by then, your kids will be calling me uncle Ollie, and Brody will be Auntie Brody." Or mother, Lucas thought unintentionally, he shook his head trying to erase that thought.
"Aw man I cant wait to have kids of my own." Ollie smiled as if he was dreaming about it. And that was when the bell rang, awaking both men from their minds.
"Hello ma'am, how can I help you today?" Ollie asked seeing that Lucas wasn't in shape to be polite and friendly to the customers.
Oh god, Lucas thought realising that he had a job to do and there was no way she could interfere with it. Or at least he couldn't let the thoughts of her interfere with it. He went to the fridge and grabbed a red bull. Hoping that it would be able to wake him up and snap him out of this trance.
"I can't believe you sent him up there after me Morggie, how could you do that?" Brody whined.
"Bah it was for your own good, now spill what happened." Brody instantly began to blush.
"He came up and we kissed," she said simply not really knowing why she didn't want to elaborate; maybe this was one of those things that you kept private. And Brody had never kept anything from Morgan ever before. But this seemed like a good place to start.
"Aw you don't want to share do you?" Morgan asked noticing how quiet her friend, who was usually willing to share everything, was being. Brody shook her head.
"That's okay, but just tell me, was the kiss good?" Brody nodded happily thinking about what Lucas was doing right now and what he was thinking about.
…He was thinking about her.
