Silent Songbird
By Simply Shelby

chapitre i.

everything she sings
ends softer than it starts
so few of her sentences
end in exclamation marks

chapitre ii.

nymph-glittered hair
satin feathers of a raven's wing
covers her jade-stone eyes
that tears always seem to sting

chapitre iii.

she hides in lackluster skin
and doesn't learn to shine
she doesn't see past her eyelids
she's a captive of her mind

chapitre iv.

elle est ma oiseau chanteuse silencieuse
