In a tiny and small cottage, there lived a princess who slept and slept for years. Her name was Venus. Venus was a kind and beautiful princess. Her face was always calm and gentle, never have you seen her mad. She had the eyes of the sea and hair that was glossy and black. Now, why do you ask how Venus came to sleeping for years and years? Venus was an only child of a king, who was prosperous and kind. Soon, her mother, the queen, became very ill and died from a disease. The king and Venus couldn't believe the fact that the queen was dead. A year later, the king decided to forget about it and remarry.

She came, a beautiful woman, who was stared upon. Her name was Griselda. In front of the king, she would act all kind and gentle, but when she was around Venus, she would command her to retrieve things for her. Venus also knew that Griselda was a wicked witch, who put a spell on herself just to look beautiful and capture the king's attention. What Venus didn't know was that Griselda's real plot. She planned to kill the king and claim herself as queen and rule the kingdom. Another thing she knew was that the king was surely to give the kingdom to Venus. Griselda planned to keep the king's original will and change it with her will.

Month's later, the king fell ill, by the doings of Griselda. Venus, of course knew, but didn't dare tell anyone, because if Griselda knew, who knows what she would do. And besides, everyone was too busy with her charms to even believe Griselda is a witch. Right now, she was pretending to cry, while covering her face on the bed, smiling. The next day, the king died and left a will, which Griselda received and changed it with hers. Venus saw her from behind, but didn't say anything. When Griselda and Venus were alone in the room, she gave a huge smile and said, "little one, do not think I do not know of your actions, following me where ever I go. I KNOW!" and then in a calmer voice, " I bet you know who I am too."

"You're a despicable witch!!!" replied Venus.

"Correct. But no one else knows. And guess what? I plan to get rid of you.

On your sixteenth birthday, yes sweet sixteen, or shall I say terrible sixteen, you shall fall into a deep sleep for years until he finds you." She gives out a evil roar.

Venus, decided not to stay at the treacherous kingdom. She left and journeyed to the forest, where she found a cottage, nice and cozy to live in. This is where the story begins. Finally, on her sixteenth birthday, she came upon a nice old lady, who was actually the witch in disguise. She was selling fruit, which were all poisoned. The old lady in disguise offered Venus a fruit, who gladly took a pear and thanked the old woman.

Later that night, after dinner, Venus sat on her bed and decided to eat the pear. As she took a bite, she instantly fell asleep. She went into a deep slumber, waiting until her one true love finds her and gives her a kiss. Venus waited and waited for a hundred years. Days after came a handsome boy, the age of sixteen. He found the cottage and entered, not knowing Venus was sleeping there for a hundred years.
