I Always Thought Cupid Was a Boy

PROLOUGE:

Most people perceive me as a curly flaxen haired baby boy with bright blue eyes. I wear a diaper or sometimes nothing at all. I've got iridescent wings, a bow and some arrows with hearts instead of points.

Well, let me tell you, most people are completely off. First of all, I'm no fucking baby boy. I'm a sixteen year old girl. I have dark brown hair and it's straight, with a little wave. And I've got green eyes, not blue. I can't even remember the last time I wore a diaper or walked around with no clothes on. I don't have wings, although I can fly. In fact, the only thing mythology has gotten right is I own a bow and arrows. They fit quite well in my back pack.

Let me explain. I'm just your regular sixteen year old girl. I have to attend school five out of seven days a week and I get enough homework to fill a pool with. I have one best friend and a couple other close friends, but we're not popular. Instead of going to parties every Friday night you can find us in my best friend Larissa's basement playing DDR. None of my friends have boyfriends (there are no perks in this love business) and neither do I. My two favorite things are rain and music. See, the only difference between me and you is that I can make people fall in love with each other. But that's…minor, well maybe not minor.

Oh, sorry, I was supposed to make this short. Let me start over.

Hi, my name is Caprice Tanith Marshall, Cady for short. But you probably know me as Cupid.
