My fingers are bleeding

As papers fly across a

Dimly lit room

Lights flashing through

Dirty window panes

Red wet dripping across

Unsent letters of

Unwanted affections

Thrown into the chaos

Across an empty desk

With shallow dreams

Wishes of what seems

An eternity ago yesterday

Memories envelope the

Fragile figure that has

Become who I am today

Sickly on the best nights

With lovely fantasies

Clinging to my torn up

Tongue of almost lies

I really wish they were

Less than what I say

Then it wouldn't hurt so

Terribly when you tell me

That I am nothing more

Than another girl

From another world

Lost in what never was
