It was a sad day

Flowers began to fall

Sky lit

Lightning struck me

With terror

And flowers hit the ground

Soft with petals

Dark and dank

The air smelled like daises

Breathing in the worms

We walked

Flowers gathering in my hair

And then the clouds rolled away

Leaving me hanging

Not a drop of rain fell that day

The day the flowers fell
