Five years later...
Kyle and Jaden stood by Jesse's side, both of them dressed in tuxedoes under the shade of the trees. They waited by the preacher, who held a book in his hands. Leah and Autumn stood on the other side in pale pink dresses. They waited patiently for the blushing bride, just about literally. As though on cue, the wedding march began to play, Jasmine walking down the aisle, her father leading her down.
"Who presents this woman to be married to this man," the preacher asked when he and Jasmine stood in front of him.
"I do." He let Jasmine go, letting her take her place by Jesse while he sat in his spot on the bride's side. The preacher's voice flowed while he read the introduction.
"Family and friends, we are gathered here today to witness the joyful union of Jesse Blackman and Jasmine Haruno..." They were nervous, their hearts beating so hard, they were sure everyone could hear. The cool September wind blew slightly, some of the flowers and leaves falling from the trees above. Not even realizing it, it was time for their vows. They faced each other and repeated after the preacher.
"Jasmine Haruno, it is my intention to be your best friend, to respect and support you, to be patient with you, to work together with you to achieve those things that are important to us, to accept you unconditionally, and to share life with you throughout the years." She took a deep breath, hoping to ease her nervousness.
"Jesse Blackman, it is my intention to be your best friend, to respect and support you, to be patient with you , to work together with you to achieve those things that are important to us, to accept you unconditionally, and to share life with you throughout the years." The preacher asked for the rings. Jesse's four-year old nephew came walking towards the three, the two rings resting on the pillow. The preacher handed Jesse's ring to Jasmine.
"With this ring, I thee wed."
"With this ring, I thee wed," Jesse repeated, slipping the ring onto Jasmine's left ring finger. The preacher then handed Jesse's ring to Jasmine.
"With this ring, I thee wed."
"With this ring, I thee wed," Jasmine repeated, Jesse's left ring finger now sporting his wedding band.
"By the power vested in me," the preacher smiled, "witnessed by your family and friends, I now pronounce you husband and wife." Jesse and Jasmine's hearts started to beat a little faster. "You may now kiss the bride," he said to Jesse. The two had a wide smile before kissing each other, the section of the park they were in erupting in cheers. They smiled before walking back down the aisle.
Three years later...
Jesse dumped his computer bag on the couch before walking over to Jasmine, who was hovering over a pot on the stove, and wrapping his arms around her waist.
"And how was your day?" she asked with a smile, turning her head to face him. He kissed her before answering.
"The same; just like everyday." He hugged her a little tighter. "Did you take the test?" he asked, resting his chin on her shoulder, their eyes locked. She smiled and nodded.
"I'm pregnant," she whispered, Jesse hugging her, his hands resting on her abdomen.
"I can't believe it," he whispered. "We're gonna have a child." Kissing her once more, they stood side-by-side at the stove.
I am such a liar, aren't I? Anyway, here's the epilogue, a little late than promised. Sorry 'bout that, tests and homework (gr) came up, not to mention finals. But summer is just around the corner! Oh yeah, six weeks of nothing but... I have no idea what I'm gonna do... :( oh well. Figure that out later.
New story in about a week so just watch out for that:)
