"Wow! It's so pretty! Where did you get that?"

"Oh, this?" said Misa, eyeing the pearl bracelet on her wrist, "My aunt gave it to me. She got it from one of her clients."

She touched the gray pearl bracelet on her wrist, admiring its beauty.

A boy from her class looked shocked when he saw Misa with the necklace. He looked pale, just about to call her, but he stopped himself just in time.

"Mother."

"I suppose you want to ask about that bracelet you saw on that girl's wrist."

The boy looked shocked.

"How did you know mother? And why did you give that bracelet away? I thought it was really important to you."

"My dear son, it is indeed. This bracelet is not for me to keep forever. The present owner of that bracelet will be your wife, like it or not."

"Why?"

"It is no question, my dear. This has gone on for many generations from our family."

"Do you really think a mere bracelet will ever find us our true love mother?"

"Don't ever say that! This bracelet is magical. Whoever it pairs you up with will be the girl you marry. In no time, you will fall in love with her and one day marry her. Do not underestimate the power of this bracelet!"

"Yes mother. I'm sorry." He bows and walks out the door.

The girl's name is Misa. She has always gotten good grades, and never tardy or absent. She was the perfect student that every school would accept. On the other hand, he, Kio, was an athlete. He was smart, kind, rich and popular; the kind of guy any girl would die to talk to. Besides, he thought, I already have a girlfriend, so why would I fall in love with her?

"Misa! Hey, Misa! Do you want to go out with me tomorrow?"

"Sorry guys, I'm busy today." She waved at them and walked away.

"Misa is always turning down guys. I wonder who'll be the ever so perfect guy for her." Asked one of Kio's friends.

"I dunno." replied another.

Kio was pretending to be busy reading a book, but he actually witnessed the scene. Could it really be that Misa was actually waiting for the right guy? Could that guy be him?
