"Yea," Katrina replied. "Sucks, I know."
"So did your mom ever tell you why?"
"No! That's what sucks the most. I mean, she couldn't even give me a reason, just that she was wanted the best for me. And before you even suggest anything, Grandma Mac already made me promise to be good."
"What a bitch."
"You're tellin' me. But hey, I've gotta let you go, my flight leaves at six tomorrow morning. On the bright side, they do have internet there, so I'll be able to email you and im you."
"You better, I still can't believe you're leaving me."
"Yea me either, but I'll talk to you when I can, k?"
"K, g'night"
"Night."
Katrina hung up the phone and got into bed as she heard the dog running up the stairs. He came into her room. After hugging him and petting him, all the while telling him all of her troubles, her mom came in the room. "Don't mom. I'm still too angry with you."
"I just wanted to tell you that this doesn't mean I don't love you, but this is for the best."
Katrina just turned so she was facing the wall, and didn't say a word. She cried herself to sleep that night.
