A/N: I've been reading Catch-22, if you hadn't noticed. ;) It has been a great inspiration, and highly entertaining.
I thought vaguely about putting this on FFN, but that seemed wrong. It's not really fanfiction in any sense of the word. More like ponderings about the meaning of the phrase in and of itself. If that makes sense. :D

The Question

'Where are the Snowdens of yesteryear?'

And it was a valid question.
It was a multiplied
battle of wills.

'Ou sont les Niegedens d'antant?'

And the answer to the question
is not in French
is not in English
is not in any language
but the question itself.

It was a silly thing,
in deed;
a monumental truth.

It's never really
the answer
that matters.
