What's in the Pocket?

-

These four short stories are based on the writing prompt from The Writer's Book of Matches. I do not own the book; merely get old issues of Writer's Digest out from the library in which you can find selected prompts from this book. If you happen to know me personality, the book would make a very good birthday gift for me.

-

The prompt is as below, centered in the middle of the page. There are four different ways (as you will see below) that this prompt could be written as. I will write all four in the order that they appear in the list. Enjoy, and please do review so I can know if I should start begging my friends to buy me this book.

The owner of a dry cleaner discovers something unusual in the coat pocket of one of his regular customers. Write about what happens when the discovery is:

1. A love letter

2. A package of photos

3. A plastic bag of illegal drugs

4. A treasure map

-

The first story will be posted as soon as I finish it. Feel free to review this "chapter" and tell me what you think! Thanks!
