I wrote this a year ago... Around Halloween I think... It's not very good but I've decided to post it cause I'd like to know what people think about it... I may write a story on it if any ideas come to me... I'm open to suggestions and critisisms welcome...

Giver of Roses

The Man of Hollow Glen

There once was a man walking down the street

A whistlin' whistlin' a whistlin' away

He knew of that clock all somber and neat

A tickin' tickin' a tickin' away

He walked over valley, stream, hill and dell

A whistlin' whistlin' a whistlin' away

He knew of that carriage all black near the well

A rollin' rollin' a rollin' away

He quickened his pace and kept pressing through

A whistlin' whistlin' a whistlin' away

But all he could hear and all that he knew was

A rollin' rollin' a rollin' away

He remembered the voice that was high and fair

A laughin' laughin' a laughin' away

He heard that black carriage and stopped to stare, its

A rollin' rollin' a rollin' away

And he heard that clock on that cobwebbed sill

A tickin' tickin' a tickin' away

He saw that carriage all black on the hill

A rollin' rollin' a rollin' away

He quickened his pace and ran past that well

A drippin' drippin' a drippin' away

And he heard the cruel voice that was high and fair

A laughin' laughin' a laughin' away. . .
