a/n: this story was inspired by the Boy Meets World episode "And Then There Was Shawn". I used some quotes from that epi and arranged them so they'd fit with this story. I DO NOT OWN BMW OR THAT EPI!!! I just own this fic!!! Killer In The Classroom
Robbie walked into his homeroom class, his best friend Alex next to him.
"Dude, that was so awesome on TV last night."
"Yeah, I know. I think that guy was about to like cry or…" Robbie trailed off and stared ahead. "…something." he said. Alex looked up and saw his friend staring at Cameron. Cameron was his ex-girlfriend.
Alex sighed and rolled his eyes. "Dude, you have to get over her. She stabbed you in the back and you HAVE to get over her."
"Right." Robbie muttered. He sat in his usual seat, and Alex sat behind him. Cameron sat across from Jeff and her best friend Janna sat behind her.
"Alright class," their teacher Mr. James said to his class. "Today, we'll be dealing with…" he droned on and on about something. The kids weren't really paying attention.
"Psst, Cameron." a kid-Noah-said. "Can I borrow a pencil?"
"Hey! Eyes in front Noah." Robbie snapped.
"Robbie, please." Cameron said.
"Don't you please me!" Robbie said.
"Yeah, don't please him!" Alex added.
"Hey, will you two shut up?" Janna asked.
"Oh and what now you're in this?" Alex demanded.
"I don't even know what's going on!" Janna exclaimed.
"Me neither." Cameron said.
"Oh of course you do. You knew exactly what was going on when you dumped me!" Robbie said.
"Oh drop dead!" Cameron spat.
"What's going on here?" Mr. James asked.
"He started it!" Cameron cried.
"No she started it!" Alex said. He walked up to Mr. James's desk. "Mr. James, are you aware of the emotional pain one feels when they're stabbed in the back?"
"I didn't stab him! He stabbed me!" Cameron insisted.
"Oh, I'd stab myself before I'd stab you!" Robbie said. "Noah, gimmie a pencil!"
"I don't have one!" Noah said, throwing his hands up in the air.
Soon Robbie, Cameron, Janna, and Alex were arguing loudly. Mr. James took out a whistle and blew it. Everyone shut up and stared at him.
"We'll return to The Young and The Restless after this word from Mr. James." he said. "Here's the word: shut up!"
"Mr. James-"
"Listen Alexander, this class will not be more interested in the romantic goings-on of its students than it is with whatever the hell I'm teaching!" Mr. James cut in. "Now, you over there; Cameron, over there; Robert, over there. Now there will be no further distractions."
"Now there will be no further distractions." Robbie muttered, imitating Mr. James. He turned around and was face-to-face with him.
"You know, Robert, when one mocks one, one should wait when one is turned away." Mr. James said.
"Sorry, sir, but I'm not in my normal seat." Robbie said sheepishly and sat down.
"Now class-"
"You're the worst!" Alex said to Cameron.
"Why can't you ever learn to mind your own business?" Janna asked him.
"Oh buzz off." Robbie said to her.
"Don't talk to her like that!" Cameron snapped.
"Listen Cameron-"
"GET YOUR OWN PENCIL NOAH!!" Alex and Robbie yelled at him in unison.
"That's enough! Cameron, Robbie, Alex, Janna, and Noah- DETENTION!" Mr. James yelled.
The Freshmen groaned and dropped their heads on their desks.
-----
"Alright, detention has begun." Mr. James said after school. "I'll be back momentarily. No talking, and no leaving." he said and left.
Alex rolled his eyes and went to open the door.
"Where are you going?" Janna asked.
"Well if we're going to be in here a while, I'm going to my locker to get me lunch." Alex said. He jiggled the doorknob, but it was locked.
"Unbelievable, he locked us in." he said.
"Great. Now I'm trapped in here with YOU all." Janna said.
"All I wanted was a pencil." Noah muttered.
"Shut up Noah." Robbie snapped.
"Yeah, I know you're whole game. Well listen here bucko. No one, and I mean NO ONE has borrowed more pencils .. than Alex Hunter." Alex said.
"Just shut the heck up. This is all you're fault anyway." Cameron said.
"How is it my fault?" Alex demanded.
"He was just asking for a pencil." Janna said.
"I know what he was asking for and if he asks again I'll stab that big pencil through his heart. Ya hear me, Noah? Huh?" Alex said.
Noah rolled his eyes and turned away.
Suddenly the screen on the blackboard shot up. A message in blood red letters was across the board.
NOBODY GETS OUT ALIVE!
Janna and Cameron screamed and ran to the back of the room. Everyone was huddled there.
"What the hell?" Robbie muttered.
"Oh my God. We're going to die." Noah said.
Alex chuckled. "It's Mr. James." he said.
"There's blood on the blackboard Alex. I don't think it was because he ran out of chalk!" Janna said.
"It's fake. It's all fake. Mr. James is pulling some elaborate hoax." Alex explained.
"Why?" Noah asked
"Well, why does Mr. James do anything? To teach us something." Robbie said.
"What's he trying to teach us?" Cameron asked.
"To pay attention, or we die." Robbie said.
Cameron rolled her eyes.
"Trust me, I'm a horror movie expert." Alex said.
They heard squeaking outside their door. Alex and Robbie peered out the door. The creepy janitor was standing there.
"Hey, mister. The door's locked." Alex said. "Could you let us out."
The janitor smiled and held up the keys.
"Yes. Could you unlock the door?" Robbie asked.
The janitor, still smiling, just walked away.
"Great. We're screwed." Alex said.
Thump-thump. Thump-thump.
"OK, Alex, you're the horror movie expert. What's that?" Janna asked, scared.
"That's the sound of our beating hearts. Something horrible is about to walk through that door right NOW!"
The door swung open revealing Jaiden, Robbie's brother, and his friend Myles.
"Howdy-ho!" Jaiden said in a high-pitched voice.
"You were right." Robbie said.
"Hey, have you guys seen anyone around here?" Janna asked.
"Nope. Not a soul. It's pretty creepy actually." Myles said.
"Creepy? Why creepy? Why'd you say creepy?" Cameron asked him.
"What were you guys doing here?" Robbie asked.
"We were playing basketball in the gym." Jaiden said. "Oh, and there's blood comin' out of the showers."
"Aah!" Cameron screamed.
The lights flickered and shut off. Somebody shouted out in pain. Janna screamed. A strangling sound was heard and it was quiet. The lights came back on.
Janna and Cameron screamed out in terror. Noah was hanging by his neck by a rope from the ceiling.
"Oh my friggin god!" Myles said.
"What is going on?!" Janna exclaimed.
"I, I think that he knows we're too old for detention to scare us like it did when we were little kids right, so he's turned this school into a total chamber of horrors." Robbie said.
"Dr. James' House of Terror." Janna muttered.
The intercom crackled and a voice started singing:
Welcome to John Adams High, where you are going to die. That's right, fall right this way.
"Oh god." Cameron said to herself.
They heard squeaking in the hallway again. The boys wandered out. They saw the janitor's cart there.
Hesitating slightly, they peered in.
"Jan?" Alex said.
"Yeah?" Janna gulped.
"Are you sick of screaming?" Alex asked.
"Yes." Janna said.
"Then don't look in here." Alex said.
Robbie peered in. "Oh my god!" he said. "There's like a hundred retainers in here." he reached in and picked one up. "Ewww!" he tossed it back in.
"Yeah that and…" Alex reached in and pulled out…
The janitor's head!
"This." he said.
Everyone looked at Janna.
"Me? Oh, ok. AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"
"Wait a second, the killer's dead. We're off the hook. Up top." Jaiden said. He raised his hand for a high-five, but nobody gave him one.
"No, the killer's not dead because he was never the killer." Alex said.
"But that would mean…" Janna trailed off.
"Dun, Dun, Dun." Jaiden said.
"The killer is one of us." Myles finished.
"Like in The Killer is One of Us." Alex said.
"Dun, dun, dun." Jaiden sang.
"Enough already!" Cameron snapped.
"Why? Do we upset you?" Alex asked.
"Yes." Cameron said.
"Upset you enough...to kill?" Robbie asked.
"Dun, dun, dun. I'm done." Jaiden said.
"So basically, one of us is gonna kill us all?" Janna asked.
"Pretty much." Alex said.
"Well is anyone of us safe?" Janna asked.
"Yeah, Virgins! Virgins never die!" Alex declared.
"All right, Thanks for saving me." he said to Cameron. She rolled her eyes.
"I'm dead." Jaiden said.
"I'm dead." Myles said.
"I'll get as sick as you can get without actually dying." Alex said.
"We have to get out!" Cameron said.
"Can't because the doors are all locked.
"AAH!" everyone screamed. They ran to every door in the school, trying to open it.
But they were all locked.
"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!" Jaiden screamed dropping to his knees.
"Why doesn't anyone listen to me?" Alex wondered aloud.
"Well, now what Mr. Expert?" Myles asked.
"Now a figure will appear behind us whenever we look away." Alex said. The gang turned away. A hooded figure ran behind them.
"Now what?" Cameron asked.
"Now Mr. James will appear and reveal his master plan." Alex said.
The hallway lights flickered again and Mr. James was standing there in the hall.
"Here's our killer." Alex said. He walked over to him. "I knew it was you all along. So tell us, how'd you do it?" he slapped Mr. James on his back.
He fell down, face first to reveal a pair of scissors stabbed in his back.
"AAAAAHHHHHHH!!!" everyone screamed and ran away.
"I was wrong…" Alex muttered to himself. He turned and ran after his friends.
-
IN THE LIBRARY
"Now listen, as much as this goes against my horror movie expertise, but we should split up. Then the killer can't get all of us at once." Alex said.
The gang split into groups and wondered aimlessly around the library.
"When did this school get a library?" Jaiden asked his brother.
"Every day's a new adventure isn't it?" Robbie said and walked away. Jaiden walked in a section of the library.
A top row of books was replaced with cinderblocks. Somebody pushed them and they fell on Jaiden.
"AAH!"
A minute later he laid there on the floor, covered in blood.
Dead.
"JAIDEN!" Robbie screamed.
"Oh Jaiden. He was my roommate. My best friend!" Myles sobbed. "Wait a minute, that means I can't pay the rent in my place. Well if I can't live in my apartment, then I don't wanna live."
Myles ran to a window and opened it up.
"Myles, wait!" Janna cried. She stood next to him. "Alex is your roommate. Together, you can make the rent."
"Oh that's right." Myles said. "Let's go then."
Just then somebody pushed them out the window.
Cameron, Robbie, and Alex ran towards the screams. They saw a figure in a black cloak.
"Okay, I know I was wrong before, but I really, really think this guy's the killer." Alex said.
"Why are you doing thins?!" Robbie demanded. The killer took his and Cameron's hands. He put them together so they were holding hands.
"Wha…?"
Alex went to take off his mask to reveal it was..
Himself.
