The trap of Gossip
Normal conversation,
Spiked with the dregs
of rumors,
Malice of clear
intention,
In carpet layers.
The prince to the frog,
The princess to the
beast,
Gossip is folly,
To that there's no
glory.
Condemnation,
discontentment,
Is all they speak
about.
What happened to
redemption?
Is it so far shunned
out?
I never expected it to
be like this,
To be left out because
of gossip,
To not take part in
adding to your spiteful list,
Would I that you be
shot by Cupid.
The arrow that flies
true,
Carries not human love
but God's.
So that reality may
strike you,
And evil words from
your mouth will stop.
