fade from euphoric childhood days to dead drug ways

Like a tribute
that was all we were
back in the old days
we had milk teeth and white crystal sands
sprinkled against out lithe and taut tan skin
it was pretty to be a beach baby with you
we ran through the sand, through the dunes
ribs gaspings and laughing from pure exhilliration
you were everything, back on those days
the girl next door
the prettiness
the beauty
oh god, what happened?

Cracked teeth, all defeat
that's all that's left
these chapped lips
these dull blonde locks
they tangle to one another
it's very disenchanting to watch.
