A/N: Here we go, last chapter. Sorry if the epilogue sucks.
Chapter Ten
"You what?"
"I love you too." Izzy said it louder this time, a little less unsure and Ant swallowed, "Ant? Say something. I'm not too late right?"
"No. Never too late," Ant replied slowly, eyes a little wide, "You really do?"
"Yes."
"But Logan?"
"Long gone. I broke up with him straight after you told me how you felt."
I need to call Logan.
That was what Izzy had intended when he said that? Ant stared at him, not sure whether to laugh or cry. He'd been heartbroken when he heard those words, like everything just wasn't worth it. He'd been so unbelievably ever. Had he reacted better to that statement when he confessed his feelings then they wouldn't have had that week of hell.
"Ant?" Izzy was giving him one of those looks, the one where he was desperately trying to not to look insecure, and he bit his lip.
"Yeah?"
"Can you say it?"
"I love you." Ant told him sincerely, smiling when Izzy's eyes lit up. "So where do we go from here?"
"Well, I thought that you…I mean…You said that…doesn't that mean…" Izzy was floundering, flustered, and Ant moved across the space between them, wrapping an arm around his middle and kissing his nose.
"Are we giving it a go?" Ant asked, leaving the final word up to Izzy. He knew that his friend had avoided serious relationships during the time they'd been living together.
"I was about to give up on you ever asking."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ant blinked, not sure what he was being told and Izzy rolled his eyes.
"You remember how everything changed between us when Frey broke up with you?"
"Uh, yeah."
When they'd first been living together they'd got along pretty well but there had always been something holding Izzy back from spending too much time with him. Then when things were over with Frey that barrier had disappeared. They had sex a couple of times but Izzy had never even hinted that he wanted more so Ant had just assumed it was only sex to him.
"I wanted you back then but you just didn't seem to be interested so I didn't say anything. Then it all fell into a pattern and you didn't want relationships with anyone," Izzy shrugged a shoulder, "I slept around a bit, waiting for you to be ready for a relationship again."
He was stunned. Here he'd been, completely secure in the knowledge that Izzy was never going to want him when he could have so many other, better looking and much more interesting people, and Izzy had been waiting for him.
"Ant?"
"Hmm?"
"I'm tired. Can we talk some more in the morning?"
"Do you want to sleep in my bed?"
"Are you sure?" Izzy looked wary and Ant ducked his head down to kiss him softly.
"Yes. We'll talk tomorrow."
Izzy smiled and took his hand, leading him from the room, probably completely unknowing to how Ant felt like he was walking on air.
OOO
The small of bacon made Ant smile and the sound of feet shuffling to the kitchen made the smile grow into a grin.
"I thought you were going to sleep all day," he commented, laughing when he saw that Izzy had shuffled into the room, still wrapped in his bed quilt.
"My teddy walked off," Izzy pouted, walking over and smiling smugly when he automatically got a hug, "Mmm, are you making me breakfast in bed?"
"I was."
"How about we eat it here and then you share a shower with me?" Izzy suggested, pulling away to pour a glass of orange juice.
"I would but we've got an invite to go to lunch and we need to be there in an hour," Ant explained, tilting his head to the side as Izzy started to kiss his neck, "That's cheating."
"I know." Izzy didn't stop though and Ant had just enough time to shove the frying pan off the hob before Izzy was dragging him out of the kitchen.
What followed was the most possessive sex he'd ever had in his life. Izzy couldn't get enough of him and he completely lost himself in the blur of moans, wandering hands, scratches, gasps and towards the end, screams from Izzy. At one point the phone had run but he'd had Izzy trapped face down under him, hand tangled in his hair, hands clutching at the sheets and only just managed to register the distant ringing.
"Wow…" Izzy muttered, head on Ant's chest as he trailed fingers over the scratches down Ant's chest, "Sorry about that."
"S'okay," Ant gave him a smug smile, "Worth it."
"You do know that we're late right?" Izzy stretched out, rubbing his wrists, which seemed to be red from where they'd been pinned over his head.
"What time is it?"
"Three. What time were we supposed to be wherever?"
"Twelve-thirty," ant groaned, reaching over to the bedside table for his phone and pulling a face at the text messages, "Frey rang."
"He rang four times from what I heard," he grinned, tugged Ant down for a kiss, brushing their noses together, "What did he want?"
"He's got Mickey for the weekend while Gavin sorts out mum and dad's anniversary party. We were supposed to be going over there for a picnic. Stephan is going to be there too."
"We?"
"Well I was, but I figured you might want to go too," he looks at Izzy nervously, "Unless you hate Frey that much."
"Nah, I only hate him for what he's done to you," he sat up as Ant started to text Frey, "Do we have to go out though?"
"Why? You have any other plans?"
"As a matter of fact I do. You were making breakfast, I'm hungry…and then I'm going to drag you back to bed," Izzy purred, kissing him briefly before rolling out of bed and heading to the bathroom, "Maybe you can meet up with him during the week?"
Ant grinned as he heard the shower go on and quickly text Frey, telling him that he would see him some other time, and then he rushed to the bathroom to join Izzy.
OOO
"Eeeew. That's your Uncle Anthony kissing that yucky man yes it is!"
Izzy gave Frey the finger once they broke apart and the pink haired male grinned from where he sat with Mickey on his lap. Stephan was loving it; he now had Izzy to back him up on winding Frey up and hadn't stopped grinning most of the afternoon.
"Eeeeeeew! Eeeeeeeeew! Eeeeeeeeeeeew! Eeeee-"
Cameron put a hand over Mickey's mouth guiltily, cutting off the sounds of protest and giving Ant an apologetic look.
"He's just like Ella was at his age," Frey smirked, laughing at Ant's stricken expression.
"On a more serious note though, congratulations Izzy," Frey said with a smile, "I'm glad he's got someone who loves him."
"Lets hope I turn out to be better than the last one, eh?" Izzy's face had that angelic smile on it and Ant rolled his eyes when Frey's eyes flashed in annoyance at the dig. Somehow he didn't think either of them would ever give in and be the first to attempt a friendship. Stephan was loving it though; he had someone else to help him wind Frey up.
"Come to the bar Ant?" Cameron pulled his hand from Mickey's mouth with a scowl, wiping the saliva off on Frey's jacket. Ant nodded and stood, opting to escape when he saw the way Stephan and Izzy were whispering away to each other. They were definitely up to something.
The bar was packed and Ant gave a sigh as a bunch or irritating girls that could barely be legal attempted to flirt free drinks off of the uninterested barman. He had a vague memory of Izzy bringing the guy home one-night months before, they had no chance. He smiled when he heard Izzy's laugh from their table. He still felt like he was walking on air.
"So you spent the whole weekend in bed with him? It's been a nightmare trying to get hold of you these past three days." Cameron raised an eyebrow and Ant shrugged, "Finally got things right now?"
"We didn't spend the whole time in bed. We cooked, watched films-"
"Acted like some disgustingly sweet couple, fed each other, showered together and cuddled when you weren't doing the dirty?" Cameron drawled, watching Ant's cheeks start to tinge red, "You're happy though?"
"Very. Did you read the text I sent to Frey?"
"Not coming round. He loves me." Cameron laughed, shaking his head, "You should have seen Frey's face. He was completely speechless. You ruined all of his plans."
"Plans?"
"Yeah. He was trying to set you and Stephan up with the whole 'pretend to date' thing actually," the younger male revealed with a smirk, "You should have heard him rant. Now he's stuck wanting to set Stephan up with someone else."
"What can I get you Ant?" the barman interrupted before he could say anything in response and he ordered everyone's drinks, trying to get his head around the secret. It had to be a joke. He and Stephan got along fine but there was no attraction there at all, no chemistry and nothing more than the beginnings of a friendship.
"Don't think too hard on it." Cameron took a mouthful of beer, "So how is Keller?"
"Not good. I rang him the night after Izzy and I first talked."
It had been one difficult phone call. Keller had instantly assumed that Ant was calling because he wanted to get back together but when he'd told the truth, that he was in love with Izzy and they were going to give it a go, things had gone so wrong. Keller had then started to rant.
"He's angry at me. Hurt. Said he loved me."
"Oh? That's odd. We saw him all over some guy at the bus stop on the way here," Cameron muttered, frowning, "Can't be all that great a love can it?"
"I guess not."
He was relieved, if Keller was all over someone that meant he was going to stop getting phone calls. No more worrying how much he'd hurt him, and no more panics that he was going to turn up at the door and cause a scene.
By the time they'd been served and arrived back at the table Frey looked very annoyed, Mickey had puked on him, Stephan had moved to talk to some guy and Izzy was humming to himself with a smug smile.
"So?"
"So what?"
"What did you do?"
"What makes you think it was me?" Izzy asked, brushing his lips against Ant's and smiling sweetly, fingers brushing through his hair. Distraction tactics.
Very good distraction tactics.
"That's sneaky," Ant mumbled, pressing their lips together and kissing him deeply.
"Eeeew!" Frey's protest was cut off sharply by a thud and a yelp.
OOO
Epilogue"Eeeew! Eeeew! Eeeew!"
Izzy groaned when Ant broke the kiss and scowled at the boy pointing at them and shouting. Frey's mannerisms were rubbing off on him with all of the time he was spending with him. He was going to kill the pink haired fairy the moment he got his hands on him. Every time he'd attempted to kiss Izzy the brat had started shouting.
"Come on," Izzy sighed, pulling away and following the huge bowl of trifle that must have caught his eye.
"Haven't you had enough deserts yet?" Ant questioned absently, thinking of the cheesecake, the apple pie, rhubarb crumble, doughnuts, jelly and chocolate cake that he'd watched him consume since dinner.
"Are you saying I'm fat?"
"I wouldn't dare," he replied without pause, smiling at the narrowed eyes, "You're the sexiest guy here Izzy, you know that."
"Uh huh," Izzy took a mouthful of trifle and watched with triumph as Frey was puked on yet again, "He's such a good learner."
"What?"
"Mickey. I taught him to throw up on Frey," he explained, leaning against Ant's side and humming, another spoonful of sugary desert disappearing into his mouth.
"You're horrible sometimes."
"Hmm. Bet Steph appreciates it."
That made Ant look over to Stephan. He'd invited Stephan along on a whim when he'd found out that Frey and Cameron were going to be there because of Frey's relationship with Mickey. Although he didn't get along with Gavin, he was still sort of considered a family friend. Stephan had refused if he didn't have a date. So Izzy had found him one: Danny Keenan. Stephan's face had been priceless when they'd turned up at the hotel with the model in tow. Danny's expression had been similar.
"I'm sure he does." Ant laughed, Stephan and Danny were both sat there, attempting to undress each other with their eyes while trying to hold a conversation.
"Look at him. For once he's not all over Cameron. He's happy getting attention from someone," Izzy shrugged, feeding a spoonful of trifle to Ant, "And as for Frey, he agreed to be godfather to Mickey so he should just feel honoured that the brat always wants to be with him when he feels ill."
The loud 'eeeew' that came from Mickey and Ella as Cameron kissed Frey made most of the adults laugh. Ant just rolled his eyes.
"You really are horrible."
"You love it."
"Yes. Yes I do," Ant purred, arm pulling Izzy closer so he could kiss him and not get shouted at. It was just as intoxicating as every other kiss they'd shared.
The rest of the party passed in a blur or toasts, deserts and announcements. Ant's parents had almost had a heart attack when Gavin announced that Clara was pregnant with twins but they'd not kicked up too much fuss. Instead they'd pushed the attention to him instead.
"Your mum is so embarrassing," Izzy grumbled after the toast to them was over, snuggling against Ant and reaching for a cupcake from the table.
"Try living with her."
"Was she one of those mum's that used to ask about sex and be really nosey?"
"She used to give me condoms and she'd tell me that she'd had to soak my sheets to get certain stains out in front of my friends," Ant blushed, thinking back to the many times he'd wanted to the ground to open up and swallow him.
"Wow," Izzy's eyes lit up, "That sounds like my mum…except she used to shout at me for the stains, something about wanking being against God."
"Religious then?" he didn't know very much about Izzy's parents, other than the fact that tried to pretend that he didn't exist after they'd found out he was never going to fall in line and marry a girl.
"Stupidly so. My Uncle is their village pastor and the rest of the family is his strange preaching army. They gave up on me a long time ago," Izzy finished the cupcake and eyed the remaining cheesecake, "Do you think anyone will notice?"
"Yes."
"But-"
"Eat something else." It was Clara's slice of cheesecake and he didn't want to deal with the mood swing of the hormonal girl after watching her shriek at Gavin for buying the wrong milk that morning.
"I saw a can of squirty cream in your kitchen."
"Oh?"
"Want to go break in your childhood bed? We've already christened every room at home."
"You're horrible," Ant muttered as he dragged Izzy to his feet and pulled him towards the house, passing Cameron, who smirked at him before turning back to the sulking Frey.
Armed with the can of cream they fell into his room in a tangle of kisses and clothes before they were falling to the bed, all over each other. Izzy paused when Ant pinned him beneath him.
"Ant?"
"Can you say it?"
"Love you."
Izzy's lips tilted into a tiny smile, one that Ant loved to see, and pulled him down for a deep heavy kiss.
