I Want Marriage, She Doesn't

Vicky and Denise have loved each other since they were freshmen in high school and 10 years later Denise is ready to get married, but Vicky doesn't see the point.

"V!" Denise yells from the bedroom

"Yes, babe?" Vicky yells from the kitchen as she is pouring a glass of orange juice.

"Have you seen my jacket?"

"Which jacket?"

"The one I had on Friday night"

"Its in the living room." Vicky says laughing.

Denise enters the kitchen and kisses her girlfriend on the lips.

"I love you."

"I know and I love you."

"I know." Denise says grabbing her jacket and putting it on, she kisses Vicky one more time, but when she tries to leave Vicky pulls her back.

"What kind of kiss was that?"

"What kind off kiss were you expecting?"

"The kind of kiss like last night."

"If I kiss you like that then we'll both be late for work."

Vicky gave Denise an evil grin and reached in for a kiss.

"Don't you think about it." Denise warned her girlfriend.

Vicky ignored the warning and kissed Denise passionately on the lips.

"I'll see you tonight." Denise said as she bit her bottom lip.

Denise left the apartment swaying her hips, Vicky watched her leave with a smile on her face. Vicky got dressed and left for work, she owned her own Bakery it was called "Chubb's". She got to work, walked in and saw her best friend and business partner Emily cleaning the counter. Emily and Vicky had been friends since they were little kids, Emily has red hair, short, and whenever anyone has a problem, they go to her.

"Where's Chelsea at?" Vicky asked.

"You know its Monday, right?"

"Party girls…I never understand them."

"That's because you've spending the past ten years with the love of your life." Emily explained.

Vicky smiled.

"When are you girls going to get married?"

"I don't know, things are fine the way they are now." Said Vicky

"So, you don't want to get married?"

Emily looked at her friend strangely.

"You love her, she loves you, you two are living together…"

"Right! What's the point of getting married?

"Does Denise know about this?"

"No, we haven't talked about it." Vicky said as she went back into the kitchen.

Emily rolled her eyes, Chelsea walked in with her sunglasses on and her hair messed up. Chelsea's a party girl. She loves drinking, smoking, and making out with people, she dropped out of collage last year so she could be a party girl.

"Looks like someone's having a good morning." Emily said laughing at her friend.

"Steve dumped me."

"I'm sorry to hear that….why did he break up with you?"

Chelsea sighed and threw her purse on the counter. "He broke up with me, because I called me Larry." The young girl said acting as if her ex-boyfriend was the stupid one.

"Chelsea, that's a big deal." Emily explained.

"No, its not a big deal!"

Vicky came out of the kitchen with a plate of cup cakes. "What's not a big deal?"

"Ok, if Denise called you another mans name would you be mad?" Chelsea asked.

"First I would want to know when she decided to be straight, second I would ask her if she was pregnant, and then I would go off on her." Vicky explained in a serious tone.

"Well, little miss socialize called her boyfriend some other guys name." Emily said.

"That's bad." Vicky said with a shocked look on her face.

Meanwhile Denise sat at the front desk of the library she had been working at since she was in high school, this was the same library she and Vicky had first met. The brunette began thinking about that cold December day they met.

"God, Denise, you look like your in love." Chester said as he put a book in the damaged books box.

Chester was a nerdy type guy who was desperate to find love, but has never had any luck. He's very open minded and is smart.

"That's because I am in love."

"Still? You two have been together for 10 years…don't you get tired of each other?"

"We may fight at times, but we never get tired of each other." Denise said smiling.

"When are you girls going to tie the knot?"

"I don't know, but I hope its soon."

"So, like……never mind."

Denise looked at her friend and gave him a smirk. "Is this a lesbian question?"

Chester nervously smiled. "….yes."

"Go ahead and ask me, silly."

"Who does the asking? You or Vicky?"

"It can go anyway, but I feel more comfortable with Vicky asking me….that's how I've always pictured it." Denise explained with a smile.

"Do you think she will ask you?"

"I hope she does…..I mean, we've been together 10 years and we live together. Why not go ahead and complete the puzzle? Add a new chapter to our story?"

Chester laughed. "I want to find a girl and have a relationship like yours and Vicky's."

"I'm flattered, Chesty." Denise said as she hugged her friend. "What happened to that one girl you went out with last month?"

"She said that I wasn't the kind of guy she wanted and that I need to call her when I become a man."

"Chesty, you're a straight A Collage student at one of the biggest University's ever, you are super smart and you could take a computer apart, put it back together and add more to it."

"Wow, Denise, thank you."

"You are a good guy, she's just a stupid whore."

Later that night Dense lay in bed reading a magazine , she noticed a pair of eyes looking at her.

"Why are you looking at me?" She asked.

"A beautiful woman." Vicky said with a smile.

Vicky climbed in bed and wrapped her arms around Denise.

"What is that your reading?"

"it's a bridal magazine."

Vicky laughed. "You must be really bored. Why are you reading that? Are you planning on marrying someone?"

"I guess not..." Denise said disappointedly.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing." Denise said as she threw the book on her night table and turned the light off.

"Do you see us getting married, V?"

"To be honest I don't see the point….do you?"

Denise ignored her girlfriend and threw the covers over her body. Vicky wrapped her arms around her and kissed her neck, Denise pulled away.

"What the hell is your problem? And don't saying there's not a problem, because I can easily tell there is." Vicky said at a rapid rate.

"V, nothing is wrong I'm just tired."

Vicky turned to her side, her back was facing Denise's back, both women pretended to sleep most of the night. The next morning, Vicky woke up and the opposite side was empty. Denise entered the bedroom wearing nothing but a towel wrapped around her beautifully shaped body, she sat on the foot of the bed and began looking out the window.

"What's wrong?"

Denise didn't answer, Vicky got out of bed and walked over to her lover and bend down on her level, she ran her hands threw Denise's wet hair and kissed her tenderly on the lips.

"Talk to me, baby."

"I don't know how to talk to you about this." Denise said as a tear rolled down her cheek.

Vicky kissed her again, but this time Denise deepened the kiss, heating it up, she wrapped her arms and Vicky's neck and pulled her on the bed. Denise took Vicky's shirt off while Vicky threw Denise's towel across the room. They began touching and grabbing each other everywhere. Vicky began kissing her lovers neck lightly, letting every kiss become electrifying. Denise rolled on top of Vicky and they began kissing again.

"I love you." Vicky whispered in her girlfriends ear.

Denise stopped and looked at Vicky. "No, you don't."
