A/N- Written as a homework assignment that was never marked, even though I spent way too long working on it- it's a parody of "The Raven" by Edgar Allen Poe. My friends thought this was absolutely hilarious- I got one person in detention because she started laughing in the middle of French class.
Only after re-typing this did I realize just how sick it really is. Ah, well, I do realize not all of it follows the structure, but it goes along well enough. Thanks for reading, please review!
Hope you like it!

"The Raven"
Revised Version
Once upon a lunchtime bored, while I sat down and just ignored,
The gnawing, jabbing, hurting hungry feeling inside my stomach's core,
While I grimaced, nearly starving, suddenly there came a blessing,
'Twas a sparrow, sitting above thyself being a foul eyesore,
"'Tis a sparrow," I salivated, "being an ugly eyesore."
Of course by then my hunger had taken its toll; beyond my own control,
And I knew then I had to rid the world of the hideous bird; thing,
Eagerly I climbed the tree where he did peck, to grab him by the neck,
From the bird surcease of hunger- hunger for the bird a-waiting,
For the plump and feathery bird that was still sitting, a-waiting,
Time seemed still, him a-laughing.
And his silken feathers were ever soft, myself seeming aloft,
As this delicious beast thrilled me by its quaint preening in that tree,
When I finally reached my hunger climax, I did not turn back,
I reached for the bird with his sorrow-filled eyes; I smiled in glee,
For he had sorrow-filled eyes, at which I smiled in blissful glee.
Then I ate him- t'was crunchy!
