A girl sits lonely on a cliff

Staring out to sea

Watching waves crash upon the rocks

Blue far as the eye can see

Sighing almost inaudibly

And slowly standing straight

Walking a well worn, ancient path

To where the water waits

She sits down again upon the sand

Resumes her watchful gaze

A dolphin jumps on the skyline

Causes her sight to raise

She sees the sun upon the sea

Slowly sinking toward the deep

She stands again jadedly

Walks towards Davey Jones' keep

The day's last sunrays stretch to her

Before failing, as they do, to fate

Her toes hit water, then knees, and hips

Not half a moment late

She sinks deeper into water

And as they do each night

Her feet and legs slowly change

Into a fish's tail, jewel-bright
