deep seat
of a drowned

gold litters floor
carried in by salty waters
but it won't rust
not for all its wealth and fat

sweet eyes linger
from fishy tale
to silky tongue
arrogance, distrust
and with, of course
a little lust

the prince lost his crown
the fairy learned to frown
the beggar accepts a bit of crust

deep seat
of a drowned

and the girl throws the book
into the fireplace
not getting that true love
is just a road out of hell
a better home for the crab in the shell
