Look to Tomorrow

Tell me the secrets

And fears in your mind,

Tell me your hopes,

That you've left behind.

Pour out your sadness,

And tales of sorrow,

Bury the past,

And look to tomorrow.

In life, people often

Sit idle and wait,

Hoping for help,

Even if it's too late.

They break ties with those

They once claimed to love,

They look left and right,

But not up above.

Then, out of nowhere,

Their destiny is changed,

Their days are brighter,

Their paths, rearranged.

And when their life seems

To reach the climax,

They sit back, content,

And begin to relax.

But when they fall,

They remember someone,

And they pray for forgiveness,

For bad things they've done.

They plead with eyes

Full of shimmering tears,

And they remember me,

So I calm their fears.

I drive away pain,

And I plan far ahead,

But man is impatient,

And ungrateful instead.

He forgets to thank me,

And walks far away,

Surrounding himself

With a glittery display.

And I am quite sad,

For the selfish mankind,

As they are unwise,

Deaf and stone-blind.

They forget that they will,

Return back to me,

On the day of their death,

In full humility.

So don't wait until,

A sad part of your life,

To discuss your hard work,

Happiness or strife.

I am here for you always,

And I won't ever leave you,

I help you secretly

In everything that you do.

So tell me the secrets

And fears in your mind,

Tell me your hopes,

That you've left behind.

Pour out your sadness,

And tales of sorrow,

Bury the past,

And look to tomorrow.
