Likened to Something, At Least
Love is a key I turn
And if autumn bears little, then winter bears none.
(And I bear that.)
Trapped in the house of Asterion,
And you are like a memory of god;
We used to know her.
I knew her movements in rain and
Tasted fire in judgment.
All love is likened to pain.
I am undecided.
Throws pennies into fountains all her days.
Not even the church holy water basins
Are spared her wishes.
And this is like humanity, somehow;
Someone will draw that conclusion, anyway.
I breathe as deeply as I can
For long periods of time.
I will show you fear
In nothing but faces.
