It seems to me that you
always learn life lessons
precisely when you need to,
never earlier or later.
That momentary lapse of rationale
that always catches up to you,
makes you realize
the good or the bad
inside yourself or others –
could this be the "fate"
we're searching for?
That there are moments in which
we unerringly will transgress,
but God, in his kindness
(note: not His kindness, as
it is a human attribute
as much as any god's;
one made in the other's
image, but whom in whose?),
allows us our choice
as to the extent.
