I don'tneed L o v e

Those swans never swam upon my lake
Hard work couldn't carve into her throne
I love the way she walks through glass
I love her simple scrawny bones

Swimming in drains like her dead fishes

This filthy
Sluggish water cannot
Clear out staining sinks
This ugly polluted fountain
From which she takes her drinks
I start to reminisce and
They almost begin to think
What will fill up their dreams when
I've ran out of coloured inks?

I only want half a funeral
And a coffin shaped like a smoking pipe
But there'll be candy scented incense
Because I heard you hate that sickly type

I smoked it away one awful night
I smoked away a wasted life
And now all that my lungs can taste
Is the grit upon her surgical knife
