Epilogue: Maybe It was Meant to be

The bell had rung, causing all the students to get up and leave the school as soon as possible. Two of those students were Alex and Ariel. Months had passed since they had told each other that they loved each, and now school had ended.

Mr. Dimpour was happy to hear that Alex loved his daughter, while Mrs. Dimpour took awhile to take all of it in but soon accepted it.

Ava, Dani, Carrie, Neil, and Carl weren't surprised when they were told that Alex and Ariel were together, but what did shock them was when they were told that they had been together for awhile already. Luke merely chuckled when they heard this.

The eight of them exited the school with the warm summer sun shining over them. The warmth of the light meant something to Alex. The sadness that once surrounded his heart was now replaced with happiness and love. He was with Ariel, and that's all that mattered to him.

Ariel too felt the light meaning something, but not the same. She used to be lost, but the light that had appeared when she had met Alex, guiding her.

Alex put his arm around Aerial, leaving the school behind them. They had left the shadows and out to the light.

Alex thought for a bit. If his family had never died, would he have ever met Ariel? Where would he be now? He shook off the thoughts and smiled.

Although, the death of his family was a terrible tragedy, he had gained something while losing a part of him. He had gained the light of Ariel, and it filled the loss of his family.

He would never forget them, but maybe, just maybe, the death of family was meant to be.

With every loss, we gain something
With every death, a life is given

With sadness, there is happiness
With hate, there is love

No matter what happens in the future
We must move on

We must accept what has happen
Because maybe it was meant to be

And all of the chapters of Maybe It was Meant to Be have been revised. I know in Chapter 11's author's note, I said that I would go back and re-revise chapters 1-9, but instead I'm only going to revise the chapters that really need a second revision, which I've already done. Chapters 1, 3, an 5 are the chapters I believe need a second revision to most.

Sorry to those have this story on their Alerts and keep on getting mail that says [FP New Chapter] Chapter 16 of story, Maybe It was Meant to Be, from Knight of L.

I just figured out I can replace chapters with a different document without having to delete the old one, put up the new as Chapter 16, and then move it to its correct spot. _
