I'm sure your skin is warm

Covered in thick fur

Nature's blanket

Holding you till your last breath

--

I look in your eyes

And see things no man has seen before

So close to the ground

Your vision is enlightening

--

Resting soundly

Forever now you sleep

With rigor mortis tightening your muscles

Into a peaceful pose

--

If those like you could smile

You would be laughing all the way

To wherever it is the passed will go

Once rest has taken them away
