Intro; The Crowning
It was a beautiful day. The man who would claim himself king said the sun shined upon him. He was a fierce man with high cheek bones and golden hair. His bright green eyes had a commanding look in them. He had dressed himself in black on this hot summer day. He looked regal, like a man who you would not want to cross paths with.
A crown that matched his golden hair was placed upon his head. "I am now king he cried out" the king's cry was met with cheering from the crowd below. "My first order as king is that all those nasty Dragonet things get hunted and killed. For that we will start a hunt. For those of you whose beasts have not yet flown off bring them up here to burn!"
Most of the dragonets flew off with great speed though one lady and her dragonet dared to cross the new king. "Sir they have done nothing wrong, they are only good" the healing woman, Naria, screamed amongst the murmurs of the crowd. A cloud covered the sun and then the sky as it would for months afterward.
The fierce king calmly ordered his guards to grab the lady so that he could see to her when he had time. He also ordered for her dragonling to be captured so that he could kill it, his green eyes danced with laughter at this. Then he added to his ordered "shoot as many as those beasts as you can."
Some of the guards started shooting while others rushed toward the Healer lady. The lady whispered to her dragon "when I come a callin it will be safe." Naria thrust her arm out. The little silver Dragonet flew off and escaped before the guards got to his lady.
Escaping the arrows, the little silver dragonet waited. He watched as they were hunted. He healed as many as he could, but still they died, still he waited. He was made the leader, and the hunts became more. Yet he waited for his lady who had promised to come.
While the little dragonet Temarn waited so did his lady Naria. She waited in the dungeons of the castle for when the king would "see her in his chambers." While she waited, she healed, for she was the only healer. She hoped that her little dragonet would leave for she was afraid that she would never be able to escape. While she waited she thought, she thought about all that had happened to the country in which she lived, of the old king and the new one.
