DEFENDING FAITH
The call to persevere,
Ringing through the
blind wall of cold hard facts.
Denial no longer
nicknamed liar,
Resistant fire
sparkling through hairline cracks.
This wasn't a choice
one could choose,
Callings were
ready-made and set.
No point in letting him
run loose,
Where souls were his
well laid bets.
Thwarting his plans
could hardly be labeled smart,
But righteous it would
be,
Servitude to God makes
the cut,
Where Satan's bonds are
broken free.
And discouragement cuts
the line,
Between God's love and
his Nemesis's influence.
Because that is where
love either binds or unwinds,
And only a fool takes
the fall from such spiritual affluence.
For living within a
savior's love,
Is where words flow
abound,
Where duty is beyond,
above
And destiny found.
With The Great
Commission to fulfill,
Promises to be kept,
Wounds to heal,
Lives to save and
protect,
First and foremost,
faith needs to be kept intact.
